The growth of HBO Max was much slower than Disney Plus. After the streaming service and Amazon settled their differences over the linear HBO channel, and the distribution and revenue sharing, the platform saw a rise in registrations. This was followed by another surge in December when HBO Max was added to Roku.

What is an Amazon Fire Stick and what does it do?
Amazon Fire Sticks, which are portable media streaming devices, transform your TV into a Smart TV. You can access loads of online content including individual channels and network TV. While most of the content can be viewed for free, some apps, such as Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus, require a monthly subscription.
There are currently four different Fire Stick models. The Amazon Fire TV Stick streams HD and costs around $40. While the Amazon Fire Stick4K retails for roughly $50. The main difference is that the 4K device has a higher-quality image, with approximately four times as many pixels.

How to install HBO Max for Amazon Fire Stick
It takes only minutes to get HBO Max running on Amazon Fire Stick. If you do not have the app yet, the following instructions will guide you through the download process. They should be applicable to all Amazon Fire TV devices.
- Visit the Fire Stick Homepage
- Type “HBO Max” in the search bar (choose the first option).
- Choose the HBO Max app
- Click the Download icon
- Get the HBO Max app
- Click the “Sign in” option. A code will be provided to you the first time you sign in.
- Open a web browser on your smartphone or computer and type www.hbomax.com/tvsignin (opens in new tab) in the address bar
- Click Next to enter the code on your TV.
- Choose ‘Sign In Through TV or Mobile Provider.
- Choose the provider you signed up for HBO Max through
- Login credentials to that provider
You should now have HBO Max on Amazon Fire Stick and access to WarnerMedia’s tempting library of premium TV series and films. You don’t have to sign in again if you don’t want to.
What are the best shows on HBO Max and Amazon Fire Stick?
There are 13,000 hours worth of content across nine entertainment hubs: HBO and DC, Crunchyroll. TCM, Sesame Workshop. Studio Ghibli. Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, Looney Tunes. You will find acclaimed TV shows such as The Wire, I May Destroy You and Game of Thrones and Succession.
