Fans have been asking the developer to create the version for Fable 2, ever since it was released on Xbox 360. Fable 3 was released on consoles in 2010 and Fable 3 for PC is expected to be available in 2011. Fans recall the original Fable 3 and see that there was both a version for consoles and a PC version. Fans wonder if Fable 2 will ever come out on the PC.
History of Fable 2
The original developer of Fable realized they had such success with the game. This led them to decide that the PC port would be necessary. Fable 2, a sequel to the original game, was released. The original game was also released on console systems. Unknown reasons meant that a computer version of the game was not released. Fable 3 was released in 2010, followed by the 2011 computer version.

Fable 2 only has the console version. Lionhead Studios claimed that the sequel was so popular that they would have to port it to the PC. However, that didn’t happen. was also quoted by a member of the Lionhead Studios development group as saying that they were not currently working on a Fable 2 port to PC and had no plans to. Although this was contrary to the official developer statement, it was true.
Lionhead Studios may not return to create the computer for the sequel if it does not. This is not the first time that a developer has abandoned a gaming platform during a game series. Epic, the developer of Gears of War, also did the same. Epic also released a PC version of Gears of War 1 when it was first released for consoles. They told gamers that they never intended to create a computer version of Gears of War 2 when they made the sequel.
This information points to the conclusion that the developer will not create a Fable 2 version. Lionhead Studios already released the third installment in the series. They haven’t yet created a computer-based version of the sequel. It doesn’t make sense for the developers to move backward in the series instead of moving forward. Although it may not be what fans want to hear, it is likely reality. Fable 2 will not be available on the PC.
