1. Alto’s Odyssey: Runner

It seems like another endless runner. You’ll soon see why it’s so difficult to put down.

Perhaps it’s the music or graphics. It is refreshingly different from endless runners, which can be chaotic and stressful. You can relax as you glide down the sand dunes, and then jump to earn points. Double backflips are a great way to get style bonuses.

2. Chess: Really Bad Chess

Do not worry about the traditional version. To challenge your thinking, you can also use Really Bad Chess offline.

The chessboard remains the same but the pieces are randomly chosen. This forces one to think outside of the box and throw away all knowledge about chess.

While your ranking rises, the AI’s level stays the same. It gains more pieces to start.

3. Puzzle: Mazes & More

A maze is simple and can be hard to solve. Mazes & More adds clever twists to the classic game.

You will see the maze at the beginning of the darkness mode. There are other modes, such as ice floor, which allows you slide ahead of your destination and traps mode.

The classic mode is an excellent choice if you are looking for a simpler game of maze-solving.

4. Platform: Once Upon a Tower

Once Upon a Tower turns many game elements upside down. Instead a prince saving a princess by climbing up a tower, the princess is digging down.

On her journey she’ll face many monsters, including ogres, spiders, and those that can climb walls. Be quick or gravity will take over.

As you move through the levels, you’ll need to collect power-ups and coins. It’s entertaining, fun, and lots of fun.

5. Arcade: Jungle Marble Blast

Without an Internet connection, the classic Zuma will not work. Some of its knockoffs, however, will work without an Internet connection. Jungle Marble Blast was mine favorite.

The graphics may not be as smooth as before, but it’s not a problem. Tap on one of the colored beetles to switch between them. To make sequences of three or more, shoot the spheres that run along the map’s chain.

Use those power-ups if you have the chance to send your chain back or transform large portions of it into one color. Or blast them into oblivion.

6. Brainy: Quizoid

These brainy multiplayer game won’t work offline.

Quizoid asks you multiple questions and you have to choose the correct answer. In either case, you can play 20 questions with your machine or answer as many questions as you like.

7. Laser Wars: Action: Tank Hero: Tank Hero

Tank Hero: Laser Wars doesn’t belong in the “offline” games collections. It is however, one of the most loved offline games you can find on Google Play.

You are the Tank Hero. The Tank Hero is the one you play. You can tap anywhere on the screen to shoot.

It’s not an easy task. As you progress, you’ll find different tanks, power-ups, and fiendish mazes. This will make it harder.

8. Puzzle: Sudoku (by Fassor).

Most Sudoku games in the Play Store are available offline. Fassor’s Sudoku isn’t the best, but it’s my favorite and works perfectly.

This Sudoku covers all the basics. You will however be subject to a 30 second penalty.

You can verify that everything is correct but there will be a fine. All your friends will see when you connect to internet.

9. Shooter – Smash Hit

In 2014, Smash Hit was an addictive game. In 2014, Smash Hit was a highly addictive game.

To break up glass objects, you must throw a steel ball at them. It’s played in first-person.

The game is slow and you move slowly through each level. Avoid getting hit with any glass objects.

Traffic Rider lets you ride your motorcycle through the streets and avoid traffic jams. You will be the first to cross the finish line.
