Design
These earphones have a minimalist design and are very sleek. These earphones were first launched in India in 2020. They came with a unique case that featured a copper-colored case lid.
This assumption is false when you open the case. Copper accents make it stand out more.
These earphones are great. They are easy on the eyes thanks to their matte finish.
Construct
The build quality of the Sony WF-1000XM4 is outstanding. It was easy to place the headphones back into the case after I was done with them.
These earpieces are extremely well-made. Once you have worn them, they will seal with air.
They can withstand water splashes without getting sick.
Comfort and Fit
The WF-1000XM4’s fit is not right for me.
The Sony WF1000XM4 headphones don’t feel comfortable. They are too far away from my ears and make it appear like they will fall off.
They don’t come out of my ears. This is especially worrying since the AirPods Pro doesn’t feel this way over the years.
After about a week of use, the weight distribution was no problem.
Sound Quality
I have never had a problem with the sound quality of the Sony WF-1000XM4 earphones. It also includes the AirPods Pro.
The headphones have a 6mm driver that produces great sound quality. The WF-1000XM3 predecessors were outstanding. Sony did a better job with the XM4.
The Sony WF1000XM4 is capable of handling any kind of music. The WF1000XM4’s great treble sound and mids are outstanding.
Active Noise Cancellation
Sony WF1000XM4 features active noise cancellation. The XM3 earphones were the first to offer ANC on TWS.
To cancel out noise, the XM4 processors from Sony use a V1 CPU.
AirPods Pro’s average ANC is good, but the SonyWF1000XM4 offers a better ANC. ANC can be turned on and Wind Noise Reduction activated.
Adjust the ambient sound volume with Ambient Sound Mode. This feature allows you to adjust the ambient sounds level.
The AirPods Pro has transparency, which is a great feature. However, it lacks the same control controls as Sony’s earphones.

Other Features
While the WF1000XM4 boasts a stunning ANC and great sound quality, it also has a plethora of additional features that are well worth noting (and even contemplating).
Chat With
The “Speak to Chat” feature is both love and hate. The feature activates ambient sound mode automatically when you speak to someone.
You can adjust the sensitivity of your voice. My music was being cut off by my singing.
The earphones work fine.
Earphone Fit Test
The Sony Headphones app allows you to test different tips to see if they are sealing the headphones correctly for the WF1000XM4.
The small tips were the most comfortable, as was the case with all the earbuds that I tried. This makes a huge difference in the listening experience.

I found these earphones to be very comfortable to use. I was very pleased with the default sound settings that Sony sent to me.
The WF1000XM4 offers a wide range of presets.

These settings may not be the only ones. Custom equalizer settings can be saved and created to suit your specific needs.
Clear Bass is one of the most intriguing features. You may be familiar with this feature from your Sony Walkman days. You can achieve deep bass without distortion by changing the settings.
360 Reality Sound
Sony also offers 360 Reality Audio but it’s a novelty. I did not bother as apps that support 360 Reality Audio aren’t one my streaming options.
Battery Life
The battery life of the Sony WF1000XM4 is amazing. It can be turned off for up to 12 hours. The charging case can allow uninterrupted listening for up to 24 hours after ANC has been turned off.
I can listen for 8 hours without running out of battery. The battery life of TWS is the same, but TWS has a shorter playback time.
This comparison is to the AirPods Pro. The battery life of these earphones is 4.5 hours if ANC has been turned on and 5 hours if ANC has been turned off.
The case can be charged using a USB cable of type C. This supports wireless charging over Qi Standard.

Sound Quality
The Sony WF1000XM4 has a superior sound quality than the AirPods Pro. The XM4 allows you to have more control over your audio, including the equalizer and Clear Bass settings.
Comfort and Fit
You can also use the AirPods Pro in a very easy way. To create an air-seal, I had to press the AirPods Pro hard.
Active Noise Cancellation
Active noise cancellation is provided by the AirPods Pro or the Sony WF1000XM4 and is suitable for most jobs. Sony earphones offer greater noise cancellation control.
Another amazing feature is the “Focus on Voice” feature on the Sony WF1000XM4.
Battery Life
The battery life of the Sony WF1000XM4 headphones and the AirPods Pro headphones are unbeatable. These earphones can provide audio for up to 8 hours and can be charged for as long as 12 hours.
Which is better, AirPods Pro or the WF1000XM4?
The Sony WF1000XM4TWS headphones outperform the AirPods Pro by every measure, except for the unusual weight distribution.
The AirPods Pro are still an excellent option for iPhone users because of their incredible experience when used with an iPhone.
Accept the inconvenience of pairing your headphones manually, and the fact you will need an app to manage them.
