Titans season 3 will be released on August 20,21. You can now watch the trailer below. The original show was created for the DC Universe app in the USA. This summer the superhero team show will be back on HBO Max, one of the most exclusive streaming services.

Based on the DC Comics team Teen Titans, the R-rated TV interpretation follows the group of young heroes as they deal with their powers, learn how to work together, and take down criminals – led by former Robin-turned-Nightwing, Dick Grayson.

Titans was originally scheduled to return in 2020. However, filming has been delayed due to Covid-19. Titans will not return until the second half of 2021. There has been plenty of speculation and news about the series, so it could be the most exciting season of superhero action yet. Vincent Kartheiser will play Jonathan Crane (also known as Scarecrow) in Titans season 3.

  • Damaris Lewis – Blackfire
  • Iain Glen – Bruce Wayne
  • Savannah Welch – Barbara Gordon
  • Jay Lycurgo – Tim Drake
  • Vincent Kartheiser – Jonathan Crane

All the Titans season 2 superheroes will be back, including Conor Leslie as Donna Troy. Donna Troy was apparently killed off last year’s finale. Bruce Wayne, played by Iain Glen, will also return with his “American” accent.

Titans is well-known for its diverse cast and season three will see the addition of many fan-favorite Batman characters. Savanna Welch will play Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), and Jay Lycurgo will be Tim Drake, third Robin.

There are more villains coming, too. Season 2 guest star Blackfire (Damaris Lewis) will be promoted to regular member. Along with the introduction of Arkham Asylum inmate Dr. Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow. Vincent Kartheiser was announced as the Crane actor in April 2021. He is best known for his roles as Mad Men’s Pete Campbell or Connor on Buffy spin-off Angel.

Cole King has been cast for an unspecified role. Many believe he will play a younger Jason Todd.

What we know about the Titans season 3 story

The third season of Titans will see the group travel from San Francisco to Gotham City. Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon will be reunited here. Barbara Gordon was paralyzed by Joker in Batgirl’s past. She now heads the GCPD (via Variation). Greg Walker, showrunner, said that the two will collaborate and learn from their “mistakes as parents”.

Dr. Jonathan Crane, a former Arkham Asylum inmate, will also serve as a criminal profiler to the police department.

Variety confirmed that Tim Drake will be joining the show as a “streetwise kid who’s managed… to grow up in the toughest streets without losing indeliblebeliefin heroism.” Jay Lycurgo, who plays Drake in The Batman from Matt Reeves, will be appearing in a supporting role in 2022. This is a coincident, but Lycurgo can still be seen in the trailer as one of the terrorized goons.

Jason Todd’s descent into madness will also be a major plot point. After being killed by Joker, Jason transforms into Red Hood to fight for justice. He is then resurrected. Titans season 3 will hopefully give Red Hood’s story the live action treatment it deserves.

We aren’t sure if the comic origins of the Joker will play a significant role in this story, considering that the Joker was only briefly seen by Dick Grayson during a vision at the end season 1. We do know that Red Hood will seek to track down the Titans, having previously left the group. This is not a good sign.

Hank and Dawn’s relationship is going to be scrutinized after they allegedly called it quits. Walker confirmed that this would be addressed in season 3. There will also be a confrontation between Kory (and her sister Blackfire) following Blackfire’s arrival on Earth in season 2.

Conor Leslie will reprise his role as Donna Troy, with Rachel following her body to Themyscara. Rachel’s abilities have been steadily increasing throughout the series, culminating in a shared hallucination at Elko diner. She even talked to Dick about whether resurrection might be possible.

Walker stated that the DC FanDome character’s return was exciting and that there are many stories for Donna Troy and Rachel. This could be the way Wonder Girl takes on the identity of Troia, according to DC’s comics.

In the season finale, Lex Luthor was teased heavily. Mercy Graves, Cadmus Laboratories security expert, received a call from Superman’s arch-nemesis. This could have set up the character for a season 3. This is only possible due to the inability to find casting news or the numerous storylines. It is more likely that Mr. Luthor, who will once again be the background actor, will eventually appear in a small or non-existent role until at least two years later.

What’s the latest on Titans season 3 costumes?

The Titans season 2 finale saw Dick Grayson transform into Nightwing. This season, more characters will be wearing new costumes and identities from comics.

Starfire’s comic-book costume will finally be worn by Anna Diop, something that fans have long longed for.

The DC Universe continues to offer one of the most intriguing spins

Titans is now available on HBO Max. This series will likely find a wider audience in the US than the DC Universe app. This third season of Titans should be big. Even though the show’s grim tone and recognizable DC villains will make it more accessible, the show is still not for everyone.

You can catch up on HBO Max and Netflix in the US if you haven’t seen Titans yet.
