Peacock is a newer streaming service, but it has a lot to offer. We have analyzed Peacock from every angle, including its shows and upcoming ones, as well as how great its originals were (check out Girls5eva, We Are Lady Parts). Peacock offers more than just NBC and Universal content. It also has licensed movies and shows.

Peacock TV price & pricing information, availability
Peacock used to be only available in the U.S. Peacock was introduced to the U.K. in Ireland and is expected to expand into other countries.
Peacock TV is a great service that starts at no cost and gradually moves up to premium services.
Peacock free is a streaming tier that offers 7,500 hours of programming. It’s both free and ad-supported. This includes next-day streaming of current broadcast series, select episodes of marquee Peacock originals or tent-pole series; complete series; movies; curated news and sports programming like the Olympics; and Spanish language content. Peacock’s streaming service is free and will include genre channels like “SNL Vault”, “Family Movie Night” or “Olympic Profiles”.
Peacock Premium costs $4.99 per year. Subscribers without Comcast will have to pay $9.99 per calendar month for Peacock Premium Plus. This includes most ads. Peacock Premium is free for subscribers to Comcast.
The $9.99 per monthly Peacock Premium PLUS. Although it removes “most” of the commercials, Peacock premium Plus doesn’t completely eliminate ads. It still displays advertisements on “a limited amount” of programming, which includes Peacock channels and events, as well as a few movies and shows. According to the fine print.
Premium tiers have access to 15,000 hours programming. This includes next-day streaming for all broadcast shows; The Office’s entire series; full seasons of originals such as Mindy Kaling’s Expecting and Sam Esmail’s Battlestar Galactica reboot; streaming early of NBC’s late night lineup. Both tiers will have access to live sports, such as the Olympics and Premiere League football.

Peacock TV is now available on all major streaming devices. Fire TV finally got the app in June 2021. Peacock can also be found on Roku and selected smart TVs.

Peacock Premium offers a free 7-day trial. You can choose to go for the $4.99 or $9.99 tiers. The former allows for three to five minutes per hour of advertisements, while the latter has mostly no ads (though some programs may require commercials).
Originals and TV shows by Peacock
Peacock’s originals include Saved By the Bell’s reboot, the heartwarming comedy We Are Lady Parts, and Tina Fey’s Girls5Eva. Lost Symbol, MacGruber, and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip are just a few of the originals.
Bel-Air is a darker version of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and it’s a major upcoming series.
Peacock TV classic movies and shows

Similar to Disney Plus the biggest weapons of Peacock are currently in its vault. Peacock has a lot of titles from NBC and its sister network networks. This includes popular sitcoms such as Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock, along with Saturday Night Live and Cheers. You can also find older programming, such as The Johnny Carson Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and The Greatest American Hero.
Peacock added all of The Office to its library at the start of 2021. Peacock Free users can access the first two seasons, but Premium or Premium Plus will allow you to view all seasons and bonus content.
In addition to Law & Order, there is a lot of drama programming, including Friday Night Lights and House, as well as Battlestar Galactica (the original series, not the upcoming). You can also find Parenthood and Monk as well as older shows like Murder She Wrote and Columbo.
Peacock is now able to stream reality TV, including Bethenny Ever After and Kourtney & Kim Take New York.
Are you obsessed with True Crime? Peacock has Forensic Files and Unsolved Mysteries. Aaron Hernandez Uncovered. The Case of Caylee. Dahmer on Dahmer. A Serial Killer Speaks. The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

There’s plenty of content for kids: Peacock will bring in new episodes of Curious George and Where’s Waldo! Cleopatra and Cleopatra In Space.

What is the matter with this? Peacock also has no Seinfeld, currently available on Netflix. It’s utterly puzzling.
Talk shows on Peacock TV
Peacock streams evening talk shows instead of Netflix, HBO Max, and Hulu. It also has access to Late Night with Seth Myers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Oh, and Peacock will host its own late-night talk shows that aren’t just NBC pickups. The Amber Ruffin Show will be one of those series. It stars the title writer and performer, who is also known for her work on Drunk History and Detroiters. Untitled Larry Wilmore Show will also be available, where the former correspondent of The Daily Show will focus on 2020 elections and other topics.
Peacock TV’s sports programming
Peacock is focusing on sports to stand out from the rest. Peacock has coverage of both the Tokyo Olympics 2021 and the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Peacock is the exclusive streaming location for PFT Live With Mike Florio. This series transforms Profootballtalk.com to a sports talk program. Rodney Harrison, Peter King, and Chris Simms have all stayed.
The streaming service also has exclusive rights to the WWE.
Peacock Premium will host more than 175 Premier League matches in the U.S. during the 2020-21 season.
Peacock TV reviews
Our Peacock Review noted that Peacock is great to watch classic TV and that Xfinity customers receive Peacock Premium free of charge. It felt a bit hollow due to the absence of originals and sparse trending sections.
CNET (opens new tab) praised the service for having a free tier that has fewer ads than Hulu and the inclusion of news and late-night programs (two features that other streaming services do not offer). CNET had a negative opinion about the service due to the absence of originals and the fact that its back catalog was missing many seasons for some of the most important shows like Saturday Night Live and Law and Order.
The Decider folks (opens new tab) state that “Everything’s fine” for Peacock but “there are many many mile to go,” (emphasis on theirs). Decider joined the chorus of people who say Trending is unlikely to be used again.
Peacock TV advertisements
NBC is quite confident with its ad-supported strategy because it has a very low number of ads, at most five minutes per hour. We all love to fast-forward through ads to reach TV. However, NBC’s success with PlutoTV is proof that they are on the right track.
