Best Motorola phones 2022

1. Moto G200

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: November 2021

Weight: 202g

Dimensions: 168.1×75.5×8.9mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.8-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2460

CPU: Snapdragon 888 Plus

RAM: 8GB

Storage: 128GB/256GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 108MP +8MP +2MP

Front camera: 16MP

The Moto G200 is a stunning phone that packs a lot of technology at a very affordable price. Motorola is well-known for this combination, but the Moto G200 elevates it to a new level.

It features a Snapdragon 888 Plus chipet, a 680 x 2460 display with a rapid 144Hz refresh rate, an impressive 5,000mAh battery, and a robust design. It also comes with 5G, which makes it a mix of high-end specs and a flagship that beats most flagships in terms of refresh rates.

The phone is not perfect. There are some compromises made to get the price right. For example, the LCD screen is slower than other OLED screens, the 33W charging is slower than others, and the phone is large and bulky due to its size.

These are minor issues compared to the great features of the Moto G200. This is the best phone for anyone looking for a Motorola handset that’s great value and won’t break your bank.

2. Motorola Defy

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: July 20,21

Weight: 232g

Dimensions: 169.8×78.2×10.9mm

OS: Android 10

Screen size: 6.5-inch

Resolution: 720 x 1600

CPU: Snapdragon 662

RAM: 4GB

Storage: 64GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 48MP +2MP +2MP

Front camera: 8MP

The Motorola Defy phone is not your average Moto phone. The Motorola Defy is a rugged phone that can be used outdoors. It has a large battery and is protected from drops.

Moto describes the phone as being designed for gig workers like food delivery bikesrs and similar. It is also intended to have lots stopping power for such tasks.

It’s not perfect for all functions. The phone doesn’t have a lot of processing power so don’t expect it to run top-quality games. And its cameras are not great. We were impressed with the phone during our time with it and recommend it to anyone who has a tendency to damage their smartphone.

3. Motorola Edge 20 Pro

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: August 2021

Weight: 185g

Dimensions: 163x76x8mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.7-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2400

CPU: Snapdragon 870

RAM: 6GB/8GB/12GB

Storage: 128GB/256GB

Battery: 4,500mAh

Rear camera: 108MP +8MP +16MP

Front camera: 32MP

Motorola’s most expensive and high-end smartphone of 2021 was its Edge 20 Pro. It is the highest-specced, most expensive member of its second-generation Edge phones.

Although this isn’t a premium phone, it has a reasonable price and offers some mid-range specs. We were impressed by the screen refresh rate and battery life. It’s a good phone for Moto, but it’s not great.

The body was too large to comfortably hold, especially with the side-mounted fingerprint scanner which was difficult to reach. It was also slow to charge, and sometimes the software disappointed.

4. Moto G100

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: March 2021

Weight: 207g

Dimensions: 168.4x74x9.7mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.7-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2520

CPU: Snapdragon 870

RAM: 8GB/12GB

Storage: 128GB/256GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 64MP + 16MP +2MP + ToF

Front camera: 16MP +8MP

Although the Moto G100 is at the top of Motorola’s 2021 G-series phone line-up, it’s not as popular as the Edge 20 handsets that were released several months ago.

This phone is great for a budget: It has a fast processor, decent cameras and a large battery. It also has a fingerprint sensor which is very convenient.

We had a problem with the Moto G100. You have to purchase it along with a Ready For dock. Ready For allows you to connect your phone to a display to perform a variety of functions. Although Ready For can be useful for some people, it is not necessary for all. It’s annoying that you must pay more to get a stand that you may not use.

Overall though, the smartphone is great and well worth it.

5. Motorola Edge Plus

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: April 2020

Weight: 203g

Dimensions: 161.1×71.4×9.6mm

OS: Android 10

Screen size: 6.7-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2340

CPU: Snapdragon 865

RAM: 12GB

Storage: 256GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 108MP +16MP +8MP + ToF

Front camera: 25MP

Motorola Edge Plus is undoubtedly the most innovative Motorola phone in recent years. It’s also the first true flagship Motorola phone in many years.

It’s up against the Samsung Galaxy S20 or iPhone 11 Pro. The specs are impressive, with a powerful Snapdragon 865 chipset and massive 12GB RAM and a huge 5,000mAh lithium battery.

The screen is also impressive. It’s a 6.7-inch OLED 1080 x 2340 OLED with HDR10+ support and a 90Hz refresh rate.

A quad-lens rear camera is also included, including a 108MP main sensor and an 8MP telephoto (with 3x optical zoom) as well as a 16MP ultrawide sensor.

It supports both sub-6 and 5G mmWave networks, making it a great choice for mobile technology.

6. Moto G30

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: March 2020

Weight: 200g

Dimensions: 165.2 x 7.5.7 x 9.1mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.5-inch

Resolution: 720 x 1600

CPU: Snapdragon 662

RAM: 4GB/6GB

Storage: 64GB/128GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 64MP +8MP + 2MP +2MP +2MP

Front camera: 13MP

The Moto G30, one of Motorola’s low-cost G series phones, is a wonderful example of the kind of phone Motorola is famous for. Although it isn’t extravagant, the Moto G30 has many great features. It’s sturdy and durable with a large enough battery to last you for a whole day.

This is the right choice for you if you only need your smartphone to be a handy pocket gadget and not a tool that you use for high-end tasks or photography.

Although it’s very similar to the Moto G10, it comes at a slightly higher price and has a better processor. We recommend this handset more because the price is not significantly different (which is why it is higher on the list).

7. Motorola Edge 20 Lite

SPECIFICATIONS

August 2021 – Release date

Weight: 185g

Dimensions: 165.9x76x8.3mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.7-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2400

CPU: Dimensity of 720 5G

RAM: 6GB/8GB

Storage: 128GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 108MP +8MP +2MP

Front camera: 32MP

Motorola’s 2021 series includes a low-end Moto G phone. It costs less than the G100, and has many of the same specs.

The Edge 20 Lite is different. While the Moto G phones can be used as all-rounders, they are more capable than the Edge 20 Lite. It has a 108MP main sensor and a large, punchy OLED display.

We have mixed feelings about the Edge 20 Lite. The Edge 20 Lite excelled in certain areas, but was slow in others.

Although it isn’t a terrible phone, there are reasons why it is not the best phone.

8. Moto G10

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: February 20, 2121

Weight: 200g

Dimensions: 165.2 x 7.5.7 x 9.2mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.5-inch

Resolution: 720 x 1600

CPU: Snapdragon 460

RAM: 4GB

Storage: 64GB/128GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 48MP +8MP + 2MP +2MP +2MP

Front camera: 8MP

The Moto G10 is a less expensive version of the Moto G30. It has many of the same benefits, such as its long-lasting battery and tough plastic design.

This model is even more affordable, but has slightly less specs. The Snapdragon 400-series processor was a bit slow for us. This is why the G10 is lower than the G30. However, if you don’t use your phone often, it won’t matter.

This Moto G phone is still the best deal right now.

9. Moto G50

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: April 2021

Weight: 192g

Dimensions: 164.9 x 74.9 x 9.9mm

OS: Android 11

Screen size: 6.5-inch

Resolution: 720 x 1600

CPU: Snapdragon 480

RAM: 4GB

Storage: 64GB/128GB

Battery: 5,000mAh

Rear camera: 48MP +5MP + 2MP

Front camera: 13MP

The Moto G50 is a unique entry in the company’s 2021 lineup. While its title implies it is a higher-end model than G10 or G30 and its price is also higher, its specs are actually quite lower.

This phone is less powerful than the G30 and has cameras that are comparable to those of the G10.

It does have some high-end specs, such as 5G connectivity and a high refresh rate screen. If you value those specs more than power and cameras, then the G50 might be a good option.

10. Motorola Edge

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: April 2020

Weight: 188g

Dimensions: 161.1×71.1×9.3mm

OS: Android 10

Screen size: 6.7-inch

Resolution: 1080 x 2340

CPU: Snapdragon 765G

RAM: 6GB

Storage: 128GB

Battery: 4,500mAh

Rear camera: 64MP +16MP +8MP + ToF

Front camera: 25MP

The Motorola Edge Plus is a lower-end, cheaper alternative to the Motorola Edge Plus. Despite this, it’s still full of great features.

It also includes a huge 4,500mAh battery. We found that it lasted comfortably for a day, even when used heavily.

The handset also features a 6.7-inch OLED (1080 x 2340) screen, HDR10 support, and “waterfall” curves. This gives it a modern look and comfortable feel in your hand.

Although you won’t get the best-end power, the Motorola Edge delivers excellent performance with its Snapdragon 765G chipset at the upper end and 6GB RAM. We found that it was able to handle almost all our games.

The Motorola Edge is a superior choice to many other smartphones, thanks to its quad-lens camera (which includes a 64MP main sensor, paired with telephoto and ultra-wide sensors), and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

11. Moto G9 Power

SPECIFICATIONS

Release date: December 2020

Weight: 221g

Dimensions: 172.1 x 76.6 x 9.7mm

OS: Android 10

Screen size: 6.8-inch

Resolution: 720 x 1640

CPU: Kryo 265

RAM: 4GB

Storage: 128GB

Battery: 6,000mAh

Rear camera: 64MP +2MP +2MP

Front camera: 16MP

The Moto G9 Power’s 6,000mAh battery is quite impressive and will be a big draw for those who don’t like to have to charge their phones often. It has a nearly two-day life span and supports fast 20W charging, so you don’t need to wait long for those times when you do have to recharge.

It’s business as usual for Moto G9 Power, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing considering the price. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, 4GB RAM and a decent performance. However, it does the job enough.

The 6.8-inch screen is 720×1640 and offers plenty of space. HDR support is not available. It was still a good value for money, especially when you consider that it can also be used to watch videos. This price will surprise you if you don’t set too high expectations.
