We saw the drip-feed trend take full effect this year, which is a significant change from Black Fridays in the past. Walmart had three separate sales in the six weeks leading up to Black Friday. These sales saw a drop in prices on tons of great products. This meant you didn’t need to wait for Black Friday to grab a bargain. In fact, we witnessed Walmart’s lowest prices on certain items come prior to the official Black Friday sale.
Walmart’s online Black Friday sale was launched on Monday, the day before Black Friday. Walmart+ subscribers were able to get early access and saw significant price drops. Also, we saw a drop in the PS5, and Xbox Series X, which sold out quickly.
We were surprised at the sale that began on Monday before Black Friday. This was the best day to purchase most products. The savings were as great as Black Friday itself across the board and stock was fresh at the beginning of the week. In some cases, the prices were lower during the build-up, while Walmart gained $10 or so from Black Friday.
Black Friday was filled with new deals but a lot of popular items, such as AirPods Pro or bargain TVs, were out of stock. These items were often also available during the week-long lead-up to Black Friday. It is a smart strategy to secure desirable items before that time.
Walmart offered the most variety of products, including Apple tech and high-value TVs.

What time does Walmart’s Black Friday sale 2022 begin?
The 2022 Walmart Black Friday sale is expected to begin on Monday, November 21, four days before Black Friday. We expect to see some early Black Friday sales. If the past two years are any indication, Walmart may launch Black Friday sales as early as October x. We also predict that there will be additional sales in November x and beyond. This page will have the best Black Friday Walmart deals as soon as they are available.
Some items saw their lowest prices last year in the weeks before Black Friday. They received a smaller discount on the actual day. If you spot a great deal at Walmart before Black Friday it’s worth it. Walmart might add $10 to the price tag that day.

Walmart stores are usually open at 5 a.m on Black Friday. It’s worth visiting your local stores (opens in new window) to see if there are any unusual variations.
Were there any Black Friday stock offerings from Walmart?
The short answer to this question is “Yes” but not as severe as we had feared.
As expected, hot sellers such as AirPods Pros, PS5 and super cheap 4K TVs were snapped up. However, aside from the PS5, nearly everything saw a restock during the week and weekend.
We saw stocks shrinking on big sellers by Friday, and many popular items were gone by Sunday. If you see something that is on sale, it might be worth buying it in order to avoid disappointment later.

Walmart sells almost everything. Black Friday is a time when the retailer reduces prices on a wide range of products. The best deals are usually in consumer tech and homeware.
