Popular Posts

Android is constantly evolving with each new update, and it’s clear that it has evolved into a mature and feature-rich operating platform. The many features that Android offers have their own set of trade-offs. Android is known for being a resource-intensive OS. Each new version of the OS will require more RAM to function smoothly. The new flagship Android smartphones have 4 gigs of RAM, which speaks volumes about Android’s memory optimization.

If you have an older Android phone with less RAM, and it isn’t performing as well, optimize it. We can help. These are the best ways to clear Android RAM:

1. You can check your memory usage and kill any apps

It is important to identify the apps that consume the most memory on your Android phone. Android natively allows you to check your memory usage. You can check your memory usage by going to Android Settings->Memory. The average memory usage will be shown there. The average memory usage can be checked from the last few hours, or even from the entire day.

Tap on ” Application Memory Use” to see the average memory usage of the Android system and the different apps. Tap the three dots button at the top right to select “Sort By Max”. You can determine which apps use the most memory by tapping “Use”. Tap the name of an app to see details about its RAM usage. If you suspect that an app is using too much RAM then hit the three dots button and click ” Force Stop“.

2. Block Apps and Get Rid of Bloatware

Although killing apps can free up RAM, this does not always happen for a long period of time as apps are known to restart in the background. You can disable any uninstallable apps that are consuming RAM on your device. If you disable an application, it will stop running in the background. These apps will not be listed in the app list.

Go to Settings->Apps to disable an app from your system. To disable a system app, go to the app information page and click the ” Disable button”. Next, tap the ” Remove App” button. You should note that disabling certain system apps could cause inconsistent performance.

3. Disable Transitions & Animations

While the different transitions and animations make Android look sleeker and more modern, it can also put a strain on your CPU and RAM. These animations and transitions can be disabled easily.

To play with the transition options, you will need to first unlock ” developer options“. You can enable developer options by going to settings->About phone, and then tapping ” build number” until you receive a message that says “Congratulations!” Now you are a developer.

Go to Settings->Developer Options. Scroll down to see options such as Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale. Simply tap on one of these options to set it to Animation off

4. Live Wallpaper and extensive widgets are not recommended.

Some live wallpaper apps are available for Android. While they look amazing, they consume a lot which results in higher battery consumption. If you have performance issues, we wouldn’t recommend using a live wallpaper. Live wallpapers and other large widgets can also eat a lot of RAM. If you really want to clean up your RAM, you should use simple widgets such as the calendar, music player, etc.

CleanMaster offers a lot of features that will optimize your device’s performance. However, if you only need to clean up your RAM, there is a “Memory Boost” feature that allows you to free up RAM from your home screen. It also allows you to manage auto-starting applications, so you can remove apps that eat up memory from the beginning.
