Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra deals: quick links
The Ultra joined its smaller siblings, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. It was also one of three flagships that the company offered back in January 2021. This release came almost two months before the usual big Samsung launches.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra launched at $1,199 and is $200 less than its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 Ultra. This price drop is evident across the entire range of January 2021 Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It seems that Samsung has shifted its focus to offering 5G flagships at a more affordable price.
Even though we find it difficult to call the phone cheap, it seems like Samsung is still pulling out all the stops for the new edition. The key upgrades include a new Snapdragon888 processor, quad-camera array and S-Pen support. Also, the 6.8-inch display can be displayed at 120Hz at 1440p resolution. The phone is also the only one to have a maximum 512GB storage, 12GB RAM, and a metal-backed exterior – all features previously found on lower-end devices, but now removed significantly.

Samsung made compromises on the Galaxy S21 Pro and standard Galaxy S21 devices in order to lower their prices, but the South Korean tech giant pulled out all the stops to create the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the flagship model.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, unlike its smaller siblings who have dropped to 8GB RAM, retains 12GB, while upgrading its processor to the new Snapdragon888. The S21 Ultra is the only model with a top-end variant of 512GB storage. It also comes with a robust 16GB RAM. The Ultra’s screen technology has also been upgraded. It can now display both 1440p resolution or at a 144Hz refresh speed. This refresh rate is comparable to the two new devices but only at 1080p resolution.
The new processor will give the Galaxy S21 Ultra an estimated 25% increase in CPU performance and a similar power efficiency, according to recent benchmarks. An expanded housing is also available, which gives you access to four rear cameras: a 108MP main cam, 12MP ultrawide and two 10MP Telephoto lenses with 3x and 10-x zoom functions.
S-Pen support has been added to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, you will need to purchase the accessory separately.
All that high-end, cutting-edge tech comes with a price. The Galaxy S21 Ultra costs $1,199, which is $200 more than its immediate predecessor. Notable is also the fact that the Galaxy S21 Ultra 2021 flagship is the only one to keep its metal-backed chassis instead of the plastic used on the other two budget options.
