The new iPad 10.2 was launched at $329/PS319. This is about the same price as its predecessor. We’ve seen discounts up to $30 a few times over the past months. However, it is not yet possible to find a comparable deal in the UK. Sometimes, you can get discounts on larger storage models, too. The best we have seen is a $50 discount off the regular price. This brings the cost down to$429. (opens in new window).

You get many upgrades on the 2021 iPad that are well worth the price. The A13 Bionic chip is Apple’s latest innovation, and Apple claims it improves performance up to 20%. Although the display measures 10.2-inches in size, TrueTone technology makes it easier to see the screen under different lighting conditions.

The 12MP front camera is the most significant upgrade. It also supports Apple’s Center Stage feature, which keeps you in the center of the frame while video calls are made. The same 8MP camera is found on the back as last year’s model.

The 2020 model has been discontinued, and all stock is sold out. This makes it the best choice to get the latest technology. You get a lot of value here. We recommend that those looking for the cheapest iPad 10.2 models go for the standard model.

A powerful M1 processor

Thunderbolt Port

Display of 12.9 inches lacks XDR

Apple’s M1 chip gives the latest 11 inch iPad Pro (2021 an exceptional performance. The impressive brain behind the iPad Pro’s helm allows you to navigate through AR, games and other demanding apps at lightning speed. Apple claims that the 8-core processor provides a 50% increase in performance over the 2020 model and a 40% increase in GPU performance.

The iPad Pro is the better option for those who want a faster tablet than the iPad 10.2, but don’t want to spend the extra $300/PS300 on the iPad 11.9. The 11-inch iPad Pro does not have the XDR display, so you will need to upgrade to 12.9-inch to get it. However, the Pro still has the 2TB option, which is the most impressive we’ve seen in an iPad.

Although discounts are rare, they can be found in very small amounts. No matter what storage option you choose, we have only seen a $100/PS50 discount on the 11-inch iPad Pro. This only makes a slight dent in the $799/PS749 recommended price for the 128GB model. It’s even lower when you consider the higher storage options, which start at $1,899 / PlayStation 1,749.

It’s the most powerful iPad, but it’s not inexpensive

Weight: 684g | Dimensions: 11.04 x 8.46 x 0.25 inches | OS: iPadOS | Screen size: 12.9-inch | Resolution: 2732 x 2048 pixels | CPU: M1 | Storage: 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB/2TB | Battery: 9720 mAh | Rear camera: 12MP wide, 10-MP ultra-wide | Front camera: 12MP

The best display for any iPad

120Hz refresh rate

Battery size larger

Very rarely discounted

The larger 12.9 inch iPad Pro (2021) will give you a massive display upgrade. The screen is an integral part of the iPad Pro’s outstanding improvements. It has mini-LEDs and a resolution of 2732 x 22048, 1600 nits peak brightness, a million-to-one contrast ratio, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This tablet is great for everyday tasks and watching movies.

This is the main reason for choosing the 12.9-inch iPad Pro over an 11-inch iPad Pro. The profile is slightly wider than the smaller model. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro has the new M1 chip. It also offers plenty of storage options, including the 2TB model. There are also excellent CPU and GPU performance enhancements, and Thunderbolt compatibility.

Apple is reluctant to sell it at a lower price because of the power that comes with it. All storage sizes are discounted at major retailers by an average of $100/PS100. This indicates that there has been a permanent decrease in the recommended price. It ranges between $1,099/PS999 and $2,199/PS1.999 respectively for the 128GB model. As the 2021 iPad Pro celebrates its first anniversary, bigger discounts may soon be available.

What about the 2020 iPad Pro

The 2020 iPad Pro is out of stock in both the 12.9-inch and 11-inch sizes. We have concluded that it is not worth trying to find deals on the 2020 iPad Pro. It’s more cost-effective to buy a newer model, which is the same price as its predecessor. There may be exceptions. We saw the price of a 1TB iPad Pro in the UK drop by more than PS600.

iPad Pro may be a better value

The iPad Air 2022 starts at $599 / PlayStation569 for the WiFi-only 64GB model. There are also models with 256GB storage and versions that support 5G. We don’t have much to say about deals yet, but Walmart surprised us with up to $60 off the latest Apple tablet during the pre-order phase. It was quickly sold out. Amazon currently has it at $30.

The new iPad Air, when purchased at its full price, is the same price as the 2020 model. It also launched at $599. We’ve seen the latest generation iPad Air drop to $469.99 in recent weeks. However, it is still around $539. It can be tempting to choose the older model at this lower price. You can always upgrade to the M1 chip for an additional $60, which is definitely worth looking into.

This model is not recommended for everyone. The iPad Air is somewhere in the middle of the high-end iPad Pro and the entry-level iPad 10.2, so it’s a good choice for enthusiasts. The iPad Air can handle all tasks, including browsing, word processing and image editing. The new iPad Air is a powerful tablet that offers great value for money thanks to the M1 chip.

Higher than the previous model

As this year’s new iPad Air arrives, we’re seeing more deals on the iPad Air 2020. We believe this device is a solid middle ground option between the Pro 10.2 and Pro models in terms of value and performance, if you can find it reasonably priced. If you aren’t sure whether to spend so much on an iPad Pro, this might be the right option for you.

The specs of the Pro are identical to those in this model, but it has a smaller 10.9 inch display, no FaceID, and doesn’t have Apple’s iconic M1 Chip. This last point isn’t a big deal, as creative professionals will see the most from this processor. The A14 Bionic chip is more than adequate for those who are simply looking to increase the power of their iPad Air.

You will also pay significantly less for these sacrifices. Prices start at $599 / PlayStation579 / AU$899, and we’ve seen it as low as $489 / PlayStation450 in the past. It’s an excellent deal if you need a little more power on your tablet, but not enough to justify the higher prices.

What about the iPad Air 2019?

Although the iPad Air (2019), has a significant performance improvement over its predecessors it can’t match the new iPad Air. It’s also three years old, so there isn’t much stock left. Apple has also stopped making the tablet. We recommend that you purchase the 2022 model or wait for the 2020 model to get a better deal.

iPad Mini deals

Get the best iPad Mini (2021), deals

A smaller tablet, but just as powerful as last-gen iPad Air

Dimensions: 195 x 135 x 6mm

New 12MP Camera

Comparable to the 2019 model, it is more expensive

Last year’s Apple Showcase was highlighted by the new iPad mini (2021). This model has been updated for two years and it looks like it was worth the wait.

Pure improvements over the Apple mini (2019), the numbers speak for themselves. The A15 Bionic chip provides a 40% CPU performance boost and an 80% GPU performance increase. The new tablet has a 12MP front and rear camera, Touch ID support and a USB-C port. It is smaller than the iPad Air 2020, but many consider it to be comparable.

All those upgrades come with a price. The iPad mini (2021), which starts at $499/PS479 is a very expensive piece of kit. There have been a few deals that reduced the price by around $40, although this depends on which color you choose. The less-popular colors Pink and Purple often get more frequent discounts.
