You log in to Snapchat. You will see the wonderful fire symbol beside your name. Each day, the number grows. Your best Snapchat Streak is here! Officially known as a Snapstreak, You are now a Snapchat master!
The worst thing is then. You lose your Snapchat Streak.
But don’t panic! Here’s how to get your Snapchat Streak back.
What is a Snapchat Streak?
Let’s begin with the basics. You may not be familiar with what a Streak is or the benefits it offers. These are the basics to understanding Snapstreaks.
This is not a solo effort. Instead, streaks are a sign of friendship. You must rely on another person. You have two options: you can tell your friend that you are interested in a Snap Streak or you can make an informal agreement.
When you and your friend send Snaps every 24 hours for three consecutive day, a Streak is initiated. Once you have done this, a fire emblem and a count of how long the Streak lasted will be placed next to each contact’s name.
You must send a Snap every day to this person. You must respond within 24 hours to their Snap. Chats don’t count. Snaps sent from Memories and Snapchat Spectacles don’t count. Video calls don’t count either. Videos sent via the Snap function count, however.
Remember that this is about individuals. Sending a Snap to a group, or adding one My Story does not count towards a Streak.
What are the benefits of maintaining a Snapchat Streak account? Bragging rights. This is what you should be aiming at.
Your Snapchat score, which is a numerical value of your dedication to the social network, can be used as a way to measure how committed you are. Your in-app score will increase the more you snap.
What do the Snapchat Streak Emojis mean?
These emojis differ from Trophies. The more Streaks that you participate in, the more likely it is for you to receive all of the Snapchat Trophies.
You can see all your contacts by going to the Chat function. Emojis can be used to accompany these names depending on how often you communicate and how many friends you have.
A smiley face will appear right above the name of a person if you are sending constant messages to them. This means that you are Best Friends. If you are participating in a Snap Streak, this will be evident.
How can you tell if you are on a Streak? Along with their name, a fire emoji will be displayed along with the number of consecutive Streak days.
Snapchat will celebrate a Streak that reaches 100 days by adding the “100” emojis to the flame symbol. It will also list how many consecutive days you have been on the current Streak.
There is no perfect person, so one party may forget that they haven’t sent a Snap within 24hrs of the last one. Snapchat has your back–it will remind you by showing you an hourglass emoji next to your Streak number. Send a Snap if you see an hourglass!
Send a chat message to your concern that the other person forgot. Let them know you are worried and they will turn on notifications.
How do you keep your Snap Streak alive? It’s important not to be too picky about the pictures you take. It’s unlikely that you’ll find anything meaningful to share every day. So Snap the ceiling.
You can add text explaining that you are trying to keep the Streak going; or, you could send a nice message saying “Thinking of You”.
You can make your Snaps more exciting by using filters, lenses, and stickers to add variety to your videos and pictures.
What happened to your Snapchat streak?
Your Streak may have been lost because you or your friend haven’t sent Snaps in the last 24 hours. It’s not always your fault.
The app is plagued by connectivity issues. Snaps may fail to send if one of you is having trouble connecting to the internet. Snapchat should notify you if this happens.
However, you can always try again. Make sure that you have Wi-Fi. You’ll need to send it again later, which is why it’s good to start a Streak when your home is open during certain hours each day.
You may also have an issue with your operating system or hardware. If this continues for more than a few days, it may be that your Streak is not the only one to suffer. Your status as a Best Friend will also disappear.
Some report that the Streak disappeared even though Snaps were sent by both parties. Although no one knows the reason, most people blame a bug in the app. This is especially true if you have just updated.
Be aware of other Snapchat glitches, such as Opened Snaps not disappearing in the Chat timeline.
You can usually get your Streak back in these cases.

The hourglass emoji is the penultimate question. This is to determine if one of you forgot the hourglass emoji. In which case, Snapchat won’t be able to help. You can still make your case in the last section: “What information should I know?”
Be honest. Be honest with Snapchat: If the app doesn’t load or you don’t have an internet connection, tell Snapchat.
Send your request, and wait for a response. This is only if the company responds; sometimes the reps don’t.

If your streak is just natural waning, the social network will not reinstate it. It doesn’t really matter if your streak was close to 1000 days. If someone forgets, it’s up to you. You could also lie about the app’s problems. We don’t recommend that.
Perhaps the service isn’t convinced that the situation merits a correction. You will need to create new Streaks in this instance. Sometimes a fresh start can be a good thing.
