Snapchat’s entertainment feature is Snapstreak. Snapstreak allows you to send at least one photo and video every 24 hours to someone. You aim to maintain a daily exchange in order to earn the highest streak score.

Snapchat sends an alert to its users when their streak is about to end (closer to 24 hours). Sometimes, however, it’s impossible to keep your streak. Learn how to repair your streak if this happens to you.

Our FAQs provide information on how to get your Snapstreak back and what the streak score is for the longest streak.

Snapchat: How to get a streak back

Sometimes Snapstreaks happen for reasons beyond one’s control.

To begin the recovery process, if you feel you have been following the Snapstreak rules correctly and your streak has ended in error, you can do the following:

  1. Sign in to Snapchat by opening Snapchat
  2. Tap “Settings.” Scroll down to the bottom and go to “Supports”.
  3. Tap “I Need Help” and then “Snapstreaks”.
  4. Select “Let’s know” from the “What if Snapstreak is gone?” menu.
  5. Select “My Snapstreaks disappeared.”
  6. Give as much detail as possible when filling out the form.
  7. To submit your form, click “Send”.

Snapchat will not be able to assist if the hourglass emoji was used before your streak ended. You can however strengthen your case and recover it by filling out the “What information should I know” section.

Or visit the Snapchats support page

  1. Go to Snapchat Support.
  2. Click “Contact Us”
  3. Under the “How can you help” section, choose “My Snapstreaks are gone.”
  4. Fill out the form as completely as possible.
  5. To submit, tap “Send”.

Snapchat may not be able to help if the hourglass emoji was displayed before your streak ended. The “What information should I know” section will help you support your claim for recovery.

What is the working principle of Streaks?

Snapstreaks are when you and your friend swap direct snaps (not chat), for longer than three consecutive days. These emojis will be given to you once certain streak thresholds have been reached.

The fire emoji will appear after three days to confirm that you are on a Snapstreak.

The 100 Emoji: This sign is displayed after you have been on a Snapstreak 100 consecutive days.

The mountain emoji is an award Snapchat has yet to confirm.

Snapchatters claim they have seen it during an extremely long streak.

All emojis will be displayed beside the name of your Snapstreak friend, along with the total streak days. It will reset to zero if you miss a day.

You’ll continue to see new emojis during your Snapstreak. The hourglass emoji is a sign that your Snapstreak is ending. Keep an eye out. Send a snap to a friend to keep going, or ask them to send one.

What counts towards a Snapstreak but isn’t?

These five interactions are not eligible for your Snapstreak

– Chatting: Any text-based chat between yourself and your Snapstreak friend will not count towards your streak.

Snapchat won’t allow group chats. Snaps must only be sent individually.

Stories: Snapstreak does not count daily story recordings, even if a friend watches them.

– Snapchat Spectacles: Snapchat Spectacles can be used to send content to your friend on a streak, but it won’t increase the Snapstreak.

Memories: A Snapstreak interaction is not a sharing of memories with a friend who is a streak.

Keep your Snapstreak simple to keep it going. Only send each other photos or videos.

Is there a Snapchat Support Number that I can call?

Snapchat does not have an official support number. You can contact them via the ” Contact us” page for answers and resolutions to your questions.

Keeping Your Snap Streaks Going

Snapstreaking is a great way to keep you on the platform and also brings out your competitive side. It displays a number of streaks and reminds you when a snap is not sent within 24 hours. Check out the longest Snapchat streak to see how you stack up.

Even though you and your partner are on your best behavior, there may be problems beyond your control. These include connectivity issues that could cause Snapchat to end its streak.

Snapchat can help you resume your previous actions if you are in a misplaced snap situation.
