A smartphone that is linked with your Amazon account will be required. Amazon will ask you to confirm your identity via text message.

How to contact Amazon customer service via chat
To chat with Amazon customer service, go to amazon.com/contact-us and click Start chatting now. Next, type your question in the box at the bottom and click Send. Or hit Enter on your keyboard.
You can also reach the contact page by scrolling down to any Amazon page and clicking Help in the Let us Help You column.
Scroll down, then click Need more Help? in the Browse Topics column. Finally, select Contact Us.
How to chat with Amazon Customer Service Mobile
To chat with Amazon customer support on the mobile app, click the three-line icon at the bottom-right corner. Next, go to Customer service > Get assistance with something else > I need additional help. Next, tap Send.
- Open Amazon’s mobile app. The Apple App Store and the Google Play Store will provide the link to the app.
- Next, tap the three-line icon. This icon will be located in the lower-right corner of your screen.
- Scroll down and tap Customer Services. This will be at the bottom of the page.

Contact Amazon by Email
Amazon customer service can only be reached via two email addresses. For billing or account issues, please send an email to cis@amazon.com. Send an email to primary@amazon.com with general questions.
Amazon customer service representatives can take up to several hours to respond to emails. However, an email can be a good option in certain cases. It will keep a record of all correspondence.
How to Contact an Amazon Seller
Go to Amazon.com to contact a seller or download the Amazon mobile app. Next, go to the page that contains the seller’s item. Next, click on the Buy now button to reveal the name of the seller. To start a conversation with the seller, click Ask A Question.
After you have started a chat with a seller you will be able to find a chat log, respond to messages and create a buyer-seller message page. You cannot however start a new conversation from this page.
You can navigate to this page using a desktop browser by clicking Your Account, List at the top-right corner, and then clicking Your Messaging.
You can access the Buyer-Seller messages if you’re using a mobile device by visiting amazon.com with a web browser. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner next to your name. Next, tap the View All box beside Your Account.
Scroll down to the Your messages section. Next, tap Seller Messages to see all messages sent and received by the Amazon seller.
