You need to be able to change the background of Zoom. To personalise your video, you can use studio effects or video filters.

How do you change your background before a Zoom Meeting
Open the Zoom desktop app and click on your profile icon in the top-right corner. Next, choose Background and Filters in the left sidebar.
- Sign up to the Zoom desktop app. The application will begin downloading the installation package.
- Click on your profile icon. You may see a photo or initials in the window.
- Next, select Settings.
- Next, click Background & Filters. These details will be displayed in your left sidebar, under the Settings window.
Note: If you don’t see this option, go to zoom.us/profile/setting and sign in to your account. Scroll down to Virtual Background in Meeting (Advanced). Click the slider to activate it. Make sure to check the box below the virtual background if you want to use a background image. - Your background can be changed by clicking the plus sign, or one of Zoom’s preloaded images.
Blur can be used to make your background transparent. Blur will blur objects that are too close to or distant from the camera, including objects you may hold.
To open any image on your computer, click on the plus sign to the right of the Zoom window. All photos and videos will be available when you next open the app.
Zoom recommends background images of at least 1280×720 resolution.
The box next I have an example with a green background. If your background is too bleed onto your clothes, this box could cause your computer to slow down.
The green screen box should always be checked if you are sitting in front of a green screen or a wall that is only one colour. Better is a green background. Click on the colour square in Mirror My Video and select the colour you want to replace your Zoom background.
Note: Click this box to lock your cursor in your video window until you choose a colour
Once you have chosen the background colour, all video content will be replaced by the selected Zoom background. These will be keyed in and fade into the background.
Zoom recommends brightly lit backgrounds, even in colour, to achieve the best results.

Change your background in a Zoom meeting
Tap in the lower-left corner to change the background. Select Use Virtual Background.
How to add studio effects and video filters on Zoom
Zoom can be changed to a different background. Click Settings > Background and filters, then click Studio Effects in the bottom-right corner.
