Here are some methods to perform a complete PC Health Check. These reports will give you a complete picture of your hardware’s performance.
How to Use the PC Health Check App
In Windows 11, Microsoft launched a PC Health Check App. The app is available from the Microsoft website.
The primary purpose of the PC Health Check app is to determine if Windows 10 can be upgraded to Windows 11 To get an overview of your current device status, you can use it on either Windows 10 and Windows 11.
After the app has been installed, you can launch the app by using a system search to Computer Health Check. This will prompt you to backup your data and show you how much storage is left. You can also find useful tips and tricks about battery life and startup times.

Windows Security: How can you check your PC’s health
Windows Security gives you a quick overview of your system’s health. Search for Windows Security on your system.
Click Device performance and Health after opening. Each section identifies and explains any problems.
Windows Security scans take place in the background. This can be seen by the Last scan date.
This report contains:
- Storage Capacity If your computer has enough space to run tasks like Windows update,
- Battery life: Any setting that decreases your battery’s capacity, like your brightness levels, will cause your battery to die.
- Software or apps: Contact us if you have any questions.
- Windows Time Service – A broken or disabled timepiece can cause issues with internet connections.
If they are in good shape, the tick will be green. Sometimes, you can run an automated troubleshooter.
Use the Performance Monitor to monitor your computer’s health.
Windows 10/11 includes the Performance Monitor utility. This advanced tool tracks elements like disk, memory, and network usage. You can launch it by running a system search for Performance Monitor.
Performance Monitor allows you to create two reports: System Diagnostics and Performance.
Here’s how to create them:
- Expand Data Collect sets > System From the left-hand pane
- Click Start, then System Diagnostics and Performance.
- Each report takes approximately one minute. Report names also include the date they were created.

Sleep study : How to test battery health
A report can be run to monitor your battery’s health and to see how it is being used.
To test your computer’s power cycles, it can be run on a desktop computer. It is best suited for laptop users. This shows how many times your battery has been used up.
To begin, you will need an elevated Command Prompt. Use the Windows key +X to click Command prompt (Admin).
The Sleep Study command can create an HTML file, but it’s not accessible as an executable utility. You can use this command to generate an HTML file for the Sleep Study.
powercfg /SleepStudy /output %USERPROFILE%\Desktop\mysleepstudy.html
This command will create a file named mysleepstudy.html to be placed on your desktop. The command can be modified to any path or file name.
The Sleep Study will automatically cover three days in the past. To input a greater number than 28, type the following command: switching
Open the file from your desktop to view your Sleep Report.
This report contains information about your computer, battery, and standby. It displays how long each session lasted as well as how much energy it consumed.
The report lists the top five battery drainers. However, it doesn’t always mean you have a problem. It all depends on what you did during the session.
The Network Report will help you monitor the health of your wireless network.
You can view your wireless connection history over the past three working days by creating a Wireless Network Report for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The report can help you determine what is causing your problems.
To open Command Prompt, use the Windows key +X (Admin).
Type the following information in the Command Prompt
The HTML file will be generated. To open it press Windows Key + R. Enter the following information, and then click OK.
This will open the report directly from your web browser.
The top graph shows a summary of all connections in the report. You can jump to a section by hovering over a letter. A red dot indicates an error.
The Disconnect Reasons table can help you understand why your network isn’t working. This is perfectly acceptable. You can list other issues, such as driver failures or network inaccessibility.
