Each Internet browser comes with settings that you can modify such as privacy settings security settings, privacy options, search engine preferences, autofill and autocomplete behavior, and much more. To change your Internet browser’s settings, click your browser from the options beneath and adhere to the directions.
Google Chrome
- Start Google Chrome. Google Chrome browser.
- In the upper-right-hand corner, click the Customize and Control Google Chrome icon.
- Within the drop-down menu that pops up, choose Settings..
Mozilla Firefox
- Start Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox browser.
- Select the Menu icon
located in the upper right part of your browser’s window.
- Within the drop-down menu that pops up, choose Settings..
Safari
- Start Safari. Open the Safari web browser.
- Choose
From the drop-down menu that is located in the upper left right-hand corner.
- On the drop-down menu which appears, select the Preferences option..
Tip
You can push the Command +, ( Comma ) Shortcut key combinations that allows you to gain access to Safari settings.
Microsoft Edge
- Start Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge browser.
- Select on the Settings and More icon located in the upper-right edge of the window.
- Within the drop-down menu that appears, close to the bottom, choose Settings..
Microsoft Edge Legacy
- Start your Microsoft Edge Legacy browser.
- Simply click to the “More” icon that is located in the upper right area of the window.
- Within the drop-down menu that pops up, choose Settings..
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer browser.
- In the upper right corner, select at the Tools icon in the upper-right corner.
- On the drop-down menu that pops up, choose Internet alternatives.
Opera
- Start Opera. Open the Opera web browser.
- In the upper left corner, select at the Menu button.
- Within the drop-down menu that pops up, choose Settings..
