Check if Facebook or IG is Actually Down
Life Wire explains how to check if Facebook and Instagram are having issues or if it is just your slow internet connection. These are the ones you should use:
- You can check the official Facebook pages and Instagram’s Twitter accounts. They would both announce any issues on the platforms.
- You can search for #facebookdown or #instagramdown on social media sites to find out if others are experiencing the same issues.
- Your smartphone or computer can be restarted. If IG and FB are still not working, it’s likely that there is an outage.
Meta has shut down deceptive channels related to COVID-19, and other sensitive topics in order to improve online security. On the other side, Twitter’s Anti-Info Manipulation efforts led to the removal of thousands of fake accounts.
