Dead Space will be remade in January 2023
Space is a place where no one can hear your screams, but the Dead Space remake announcement has caused some fans to let out Necromorphlike screams of joy.
Dead Space was created exclusively for the new-generation consoles. It is a complete remake of the original game, built entirely from scratch using Frostbite’s game engine. Expect a higher level of immersion, terrifying horror, and many improvements over the 2008 version.
EA claims that Dead Space will enhance the game’s story and characters, as well as its gameplay mechanics. Through a series of deep dives by developers, we are already discovering how it will do this. The most recent one was focused on the game’s immersive environments and art.

We thought it was over, but Dead Space is back, and we hope it can recapture the magic that made players jump in their space boots on the abandoned USGIshimura in 2008.
EA Motive, the developer of the game, revealed its release date in May. Now is the perfect time to tease more. Although the studio told us to wait until October for more hefty information, it is not impossible that another glimpse of the game will be available before then.
Publisher EA won’t be attending Gamescom2022. This means that Isaac Clarke is unlikely to appear at the gaming convention. We don’t think we’ll see the Dead Space remake anytime soon, as it wasn’t shown at Gamescom Opening night Live.

Dead Space remake: Release date and platforms
Dead Space remake will be released on January 27, 2023 for PlayStation5 and Xbox SeriesX.
The release date was confirmed by EA Motive during a May 2022 livestream (opens new tab), where they stated that development was progressing “very well”. They confirmed that an additional update could be expected in October 2022. This is a few months before the game’s release.

Crafting The Tension, art developer livestream
EA Motive’s art team shared a deep dive into the game’s immersive environments and characters in a May 2022 session. The game will be released on January 27, 2023. A further look is expected in October 2022.
