Huge Discounts on Older Mattresses at Macy’s
Macy’s Cyber Monday Mattress Sale is now online. More than 2,000 deals. You can get huge discounts on older models by big-name brands such as Serta, Sealy, and Beautyrest.
This is a Macy’s classic mattress deal, ie there’s an enormous discount. However, as our sleep editor Claire reminded yesterday, price alone doesn’t necessarily indicate quality.
This particular mattress scored an average score of just three stars out of five from 22 reviews. While 9 people gave it five stars, nine others gave it one star. This is not enough for me. There are so many mattresses with glowing reviews from thousands, that I would be backing one of them instead.
Cyber Monday is Cyber Monday and the Sealy Posturepedic spring bloom mattress set gets a $700 discount (Image credit Macy’s).
If you’re willing to go with an older model, Macy’s has some great mattress deals. The Sealy Posturepedic Spring Bloom queen mattress set is on sale for $399, down from $1,269. Although I haven’t tried it, it is a 12-inch mattress with gel memory foam layers to support and cushion you as you sleep. It also has open coils for additional support and airflow. This makes it a great choice for hot sleepers. It has 155 user reviews and averages five stars.
Be aware that although it’s not unusual for Macy’s to offer mattresses at discounts up to $1,000, these mattresses are often considered clearance merchandise. You’ll be getting a great deal if you pick one of these. However, you won’t have the ability to exchange, return, or get a price adjustment if it isn’t right. It won’t even be covered by warranties for future or existing damage.

Cyber Monday mattress sales continue to be popular
Google Trends shows a clear rise in Cyber Monday mattress deals starting around 6pm ET Sunday. The graph shows that this is when ‘Cyber Monday’ (the blue line in the graph) begins to surpass ‘Black Friday’ (the red line).

The interest is still there, but what about the deals? Our main conclusion from yesterday remains the same: Cyber Monday’s mattress deals are almost identical to those we saw on Black Friday. The discount has been extended and the name of this sale has changed. They are still the largest discounts of the year, and there are great savings to be had.

- DreamCloud offers a $599 discount for a luxury hybrid mattress. You’ll receive $399 worth of sleep accessories and a $200 discount on your mattress.
- Serta offers Cyber Monday savings: Save $500 and Get a Free Bedding Bundle or 20% off the Serta EZ Tote. This deal starts at $279.20 (down from $349).
- Purple offers up to $600 on mattresses and bundles during the Cyber Monday Sale. Purple may drop its prices slightly on Cyber Monday but this is the same deal as on Black Friday.
- Casper is still running its Black Friday Sale, but up 50% off mattresses and up to half off all other items.

Saatva CyberMonday prices are not as high as last year, but still a good deal
Let’s have a closer look at these Cyber Monday mattress sales. First up: Saatva.
We had reported earlier this year that many of this year’s sales prices, across the entire mattress industry, wouldn’t be as low last year. Over the past 12 months, supply chain problems have continued to plague mattress producers. This has put pricing under pressure and sometimes caused long delays in shipping. Many key items are now more expensive than they were one year ago due to inflation.
Although Saatva isn’t experiencing any delivery delays, inflation has caused some price increases and Cyber Monday sales are now more expensive than last year. It was the same on Black Friday.
Cyber Monday offers 10% off all Saatva products, and 15% off purchases over $2,750 This drops the price of our top choice, the luxury hybrid Saatva Classic, from $1,595 per queen to $1,345. This is a great price because it’s much cheaper than the summer when it cost $13,374. It’s also much cheaper than luxury hybrid competitors that cost well over $2,000.
It’s only $150 more than what a queen-size Saatva Classic costs last Black Friday or Cyber Monday. The Classic was $1,199 for a queen even though it was on sale on President’s Day in February. You’re not getting as much savings as if you had it last year.
This is not a unique situation for Saatva. The Cyber Monday sale by the company is a good deal. Saatva’s luxury mattresses are priced competitively and can last for a long time. Our sister site Tom’s Guide’s reviewer has been using her Saatva Classic for more than a year now and she says that it’s still as supportive and comfortable as when she bought it.
