What is Desktop as a Service?

Desktop as a Service (or DaaS) is a cloud-based service that lets you run a desktop environment from a virtual machine hosted in a public clouds. DaaS allows you to create a virtual machine by using a public cloud service such as Amazon EC2 or Azure Virtual Machines. Once the virtual machine is created, you can install a Windows operating system (such as Windows 10) and then access it with an application such LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, or DesktopReady.
DaaS is similar to RDS. Users have access to the same applications, system resources and services as if they had a physical machine instead of a virtual desktop in the cloud.
