For obvious reasons, the best Android smartwatches are well-paired with an Android smartphone. There are many options.
Wear OS dominates the Android smartwatch market. Even the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 uses the operating system. However, there are other options such as Tizen OS, Fitbit OS, and many more. However, the operating system is only one thing to consider when purchasing a smartwatch.
It is also important to consider the features that are most important to you. Most Android smartwatches offer some exercise tracking. But you might want more sophisticated features like GPS functionality or heart rate monitoring.
It is important to consider what style will suit your personality and what your budget is.
We have separate lists of the best Wear OS watches, if you are looking for something other than the ones on this list that use Google’s WearOS (e.g. the Fitbit Vera 3). A general guide is also available.
We’ve also ranked the top smartwatches compatible with Android phones on this definitive list. The watch’s price, performance, design, and integration with the Android ecosystem are the main factors in our rankings. There are so many options, so take your time to read the reviews so you can make an informed decision.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 comes with a variety of features and is available in two sizes so that it can fit different wrist sizes.
The return of the rotating physical bezel, which you won’t find on the Galaxy Watch Active range, is something we love. It makes it easy to navigate the circular menus in Samsung’s Tizen program. The Watch 3 combines a modern, elegant design with top-tier fitness features such as GPS and multisport tracking.
The only problem is the fact that it is only a one-day battery watch. However, this is just as true for the Apple Watch. The Watch 3 makes up for this with great software, all the fitness features you could need, and a premium feels that justifies its high price.

The Fitbit Versa 3 has other features than the fitness aspect. It boasts a bright, clear, and crisp AMOLED screen and up to six days battery life. Although it’s not an upgrade to the Versa 2, the smartwatch features are limited and you will need a subscription to get the best out of the fitness tools. But quality is rarely cheap.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 can be purchased alongside the original Watch Active, we prefer this model due to its updated design, superior battery life, and digital touch bezel that was missing sorely before.
This smartwatch is more suitable for fitness and workouts than the regular Galaxy Watch. The great onboard coaching suggestions and reminders will help you move towards your goals.
It is waterproof and can be used for swimming, running, and cycling, among other activities. You only need to charge it once a day.

Fitbit offers several smartwatches, but the Versa Lite is the cheapest. It’s a great Android watch, despite its high price.
Although it doesn’t have a built-in GPS you can connect it with your phone to record runs routes. There are all the sports tracking features that you’ll find on the Versa 2 and Ionic.
We have found that the battery life is excellent and can last for around five days with regular use. The unit is lightweight and slim so you can wear it to bed to activate the sleep tracking features.
The watch lacks NFC, so Fitbit Pay is not possible. However, if you are looking for the Fitbit experience in an affordable watch, it’s worth considering.

Fossil Sports is undoubtedly one of the first watches by the company to keep up with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Watch and Apple Watch.
It is lightweight so you can do a variety of activities.
Despite the sporty design, it feels premium. It comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear3100 chipset, making it one of the most powerful Wear OS devices. We found it to be noticeably smoother than other options.

Although it’s not a sports watch, the Honor Magic Watch 2 packs in GPS, tons more workout modes, detailed information, and feedback for some activities.
Its battery life of one to two weeks is amazing, which is something that you won’t find on large-screen smartwatches. This impressed us greatly.
This is a very basic fitness tracker. It looks almost like a watch. The notification system is poor and its few smartwatch features are not that great. This device is best used on Android, as it lacks some features if connected to an iPhone. However, this device is great for Android fitness enthusiasts.

TicWatch Pro 3 is a great all-rounder, but it doesn’t excel in every area. It doesn’t have to be, as it is cheaper than its top-end counterparts.
It has a lot to offer. It was also the first smartwatch with the high-end Snapdragon 4100 chipset. This ensures that it performs well in our tests. You can expect it to last for between two and three days on a single charge, but it will also keep you going for up to 45 hours if it is set to Essential mode.
TicWatch Pro 3 has a great screen, a 1.4 inch 454 x 444, one that’s bright, responsive, crisp, and bright. It also comes with all the usual health and fitness features you would expect from a smartwatch. We found it not accurate for sleep tracking so don’t get this.

It’s now time to look at the Mobvoi, a Chinese manufacturer. Although the TicWatch E2 doesn’t offer a significant upgrade over its predecessor, it does have some amazing features for its price.
We love the battery life of two days and the fact that you can get all the features of Wear OS on a low-priced watch. This is a remarkable feat and it’s why we voted it the best Android watch.
It doesn’t have NFC (no Google Pay), but that is to be expected considering you get GPS and a heart monitor.
Are you unsure about the design? The TicWatch S2 is a similar watch. The watch is very similar, but the look is quite different.
What we tested
We have thoroughly reviewed each smartwatch we ranked in this guide. This gives us confidence about how they compare to the rest.
Our review score, specs, performance, price, and how they compare to other options were all considered in creating our ranking.
Here are some things to consider when purchasing a smartwatch that can be used with Android
First, avoid buying an Apple Watch. They don’t work well with Android. It’s about choosing the right features for you. Are you interested in being able take an ECG? Or is simple heart rate monitoring sufficient? Do you care about health and fitness, or are you primarily interested in notifications? All of this, plus what price ranges and styles you prefer, is important.
These smartwatches can be used with an iPhone.
Many smartwatches that are compatible with Android will work with an iPhone. You might lose some functionality and there are some that won’t work at any time, like the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. An Apple Watch will give you the best results when using an iPhone.
