Which TVs are the Best 43-Inch TVs?

The Samsung QN90A is our top choice, the flagship QLED TV by Samsung from 2021. Although it’s a little expensive, the QN90A is an amazing 43-inch TV.

The TCL 4 Series Roku TV can be a more affordable option. However, it doesn’t sacrifice quality or features. You get the Roku operating system and all the benefits of a Roku streaming TV, including tons of apps and an intuitive interface. Its low lag time will be a big plus for gamers, as it allows for better gaming.

The Toshiba C350 Fire TV (2021 version) is a great deal. It’s often on sale at a significant discount, but that is rare. It’s an excellent buy, as it offers an Amazon-powered smart television experience with built-in Alexa and impressively fast lag times for top gaming performance.

The Samsung QN90A 43-inch TV is the most expensive on the list, but it’s technically the best. The QN90A’s combination of Samsung’s highly refined quantum dots technology and the tight control over mini-LED backlighting resulted in 1813.83 nits during our testing, more than four times as high as the LG G1’s 4012.05 nits. The color reproduction was 99.51%, which is comparable to other excellent non-OLED sets but lower than what you get with the best OLEDs. Samsung combines this image quality with a wealth of smart TV functions and intelligent features. For example, a solar-powered remote that can be used to control the TV from anywhere in the world — providing eco-friendly design and unparalleled convenience.

It all fits into a beautiful 1-inch-thick package that includes a wide range of smart features, powerful Dolby Atmos sound, and the most impressive performance we have ever seen. It comes with HDMI 2.1 connectivity as standard. This TV is also great for gamers due to the many dedicated features and a 12.6-millisecond delay in our testing. It does not support Dolby Vision, HD10+, and it isn’t as versatile as other sets. However, it is the best TV we have seen in the last 12 months.

The TCL 4 Series Roku TV is our pick for the best 43-inch TV. It’s also the most affordable. This 4K TV is often sold for less than 1080p TVs. It supports HDR10, but not Dolby vision, for better contrast. It runs Roku’s software software. We think it offers one of the best smart TV experience and has many apps to choose. It also had a low lag of just 14 milliseconds in our testing, which means it will be able to handle fast-paced gaming.

The TCL 4 Series TV is a great value for money, but it lacks some features that higher-end TVs offer. The HDR performance is not as great as it could because of the lack of local dimming. It has poor speakers with limited power and bass. To overcome these sound problems, you might consider installing a soundbar if this TV is your main TV.

The 2021 addition to Amazon’s small range of smart TVs is the Toshiba C350 Fire TV. It offers decent features and performance at a very affordable price. It was a good example of the Fire TV template. It has a great 4K picture quality and impressively fast lag times. It has built-in Alexa voice control and a large app store. The interface also features Amazon Prime Video. The screen size of 43 inches is the smallest and most affordable. It costs around $280, but it will likely cost less during sales events. This makes it one of our smartest TVs.

Although the C350 does not have Dolby Atmos or HDMI 2.1 support, it does offer Dolby Vision as well as HDR10, though not in the best way. It’s still a solid TV, with great color accuracy, low latency, and a beautiful design. We’ve been impressed by other Fire TV models.

Avoidable reasons

-Poor color contrast

Insignia 4K TV Edition 2020 model may be a draw for you because of its low prices. However, it is a smart TV that can also provide access to Alexa and streaming services in one package. The Insignia FireTV offers 4K resolution and HDR support with DolbyVision. It also has access to Amazon’s vast library of content and apps. Our testing revealed that the Insignia FireTV’s real selling point is not any single feature.

Although it’s a great TV, the poor performance and lackluster gaming support mean that you don’t get what you pay. Even though it is able to beat the 2020 Toshiba Fire TV Edition. Fire TV is great for Amazon loyalists, but it may be too Amazon-centric for newcomers. It’s difficult to beat the price for a daily basis, and even less when you consider the huge sales events that are offered.

The Samsung Q60T is a small TV that doesn’t limit your access to the best panel technology. The QLED screen (or quantum-dotLED) produces brighter colors than regular LEDs and can compete with OLED screens for vividness and deep blacks. The Q60T produced sharp images and good colors, according to our tests. It is capable of HDR and produces excellent contrast. The Tizen smart operating system, which is Samsung’s most popular app platform, makes it easy to access a wide range of Samsung apps.

However, you will have to pay for that fancy screen. The Q60T costs several hundred more than the TCL 4 Series. It has some issues, but it does have a great picture. The model this year has a slower processor, lower refresh rate and blurring in fast-moving scenes. It also had a lower color accuracy than other QLED sets. The Q60T has the best screen in a 43 inch TV.

How to select the best 43-inch TV

Follow our TV Shopping Guide tips when looking for a 43 inch TV. You’ll enjoy your TV for many years if you take the time to consider what you want.

First, make sure that you have the space to fit a 43-inch television. A 43-inch TV will be the ideal size for people who are seated between 3.5 and 4 feet from the screen, according to our Which size TV should I buy? guide. This size makes them a great second TV, a cheap kids TV or dedicated TV for gaming.

We recommend that you get a larger screen if your space allows. Even if you are happy with a smaller unit, a larger one makes watching more enjoyable.

Consider which ports are necessary and how many. The number of HDMI ports that you require depends on the number of devices you intend to plug in, such as a streaming stick or game console, or a cable box. These TVs typically have three HDMI inputs. Some have four. You may require an optical digital audio output or a 3.5mm auxiliary output if you intend to use a soundbar. A TV with Bluetooth support is also recommended so that you can use your headphones and not disturb others.

Check out our selections of the top TVs in each category if you have narrowed your TV shopping criteria by brand, price range, or screen size.
