Popular Posts

It’s over, Amazon Prime Day 2022. Or…? There are rumors that this year’s round will feature two rounds. This is something Amazon has not done before. However, sources in the US suggest there may be another installment. We’ll have to wait to see the details.

You can still get bargains at Amazon Australia if you wait. There are always great deals to be had. There are still savings available on almost every item Amazon stocks, even electronics. Although the discount isn’t as great as Prime Day, you still have the chance to get something you want for less.

You can sign up right now to get a 30-day trial (opens new tab). We recommend that you wait until the next Prime Day to sign up. Then, you will be able to take advantage of the fast and free delivery and the savings.

Is there another Prime Day in the works?

Although there is no word from the government on whether or not there will be a second Prime Day in this year’s calendar, a leak published in June suggests that there might be.

It is expected to take place in October. The rumour comes from the fact that Amazon has requested third-party sellers to submit another round on its platform with a deadline of late July. We can only speculate that Amazon will be preparing for round 2 in Q4 since Prime Day 2022 occurred mid-July.

We did have a Prime Day back in October 2020 so another one is not unusual. It was delayed due to stock issues and pandemic. Amazon claims that it sold billions more worldwide than its 2019 event.

It’s important to note that Amazon Australia has not yet confirmed the second Prime Day 2022 sale. Any rumours should be taken with a grain of salt until we receive a press release confirming it is happening. It’s possible that this is a sales event, with Prime members getting early access to deals, and as a prelude for Black Friday 2022.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day was launched in the US in 2015 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company. It featured more deals than Black Friday back then. Prime Day quickly evolved into Amazon’s midyear sales event, where Prime members get discounts on a wide variety of products.

It started as a one-day sale. By 2018, it was expanded to two days. That meant we could shop in Australia for up to 36 hours. The sale ended in the USA on the last day. It got even more amazing in 2019, when Aussie shoppers enjoyed a staggering 65 hours of discount. Only October’s daylight savings allowed for 66 hours of shopping spree in 2020. In 2021, it was back at 65 hours.

How can you find the best Prime Day deals

Here are some tips to help you go bargain hunting on the next Prime Day, whether it’s October this year or next year.

  1. Get an Amazon Prime trial for free

You don’t have to be a Prime member in order to qualify for the Prime Day deals this year. Sign up as soon as the event is over and Amazon will offer a 30-day trial of Prime Service for free. This means that you can take part in the savings and have access to Prime Video.

  1. Be clear about what you want, but be flexible

It is crucial to have a clear understanding of what you want from Amazon Prime Day. This will allow you to quickly recognize the discount and be flexible enough to decide whether to purchase another model.

If you are looking for a new camera, you can take a look at the features offered by each brand, maybe even visit a store (Ted’s cameras is great for showing side-by-side comparisons in stores), and choose a few that you like. You will be able to quickly identify a great deal by learning their prices and how affordable they can be.

It’s important to identify the features you can sacrifice to get the best Prime Day deals.

  1. You should keep some of this flexibility in your budget

It’s not a good idea, however, to spend excessively in the rush of the moment just for the sake of getting a great deal. To get the best deals, you should allow for a little more than your maximum spending.

Prime Day deals don’t always include the lowest priced items. Sometimes, the best Prime Day deals can be found on higher-end products that offer more for a lower price. A 32GB Chromebook might appeal to you if you are looking for a laptop. The 64GB model, which is only AU$50-AU$80 less expensive, is a better choice.

  1. You can get there early but you should stay for the whole event

We recommend that you visit Amazon as soon as possible to get the best deals. You will be able to see the best Amazon deals on the first day. You may have to act quickly as many Prime Day deals go very quickly.

But just because you have secured a great discount immediately doesn’t mean that your work is done. Amazon offers many more savings that are well-known throughout the event. It’s worth keeping an eye out for additional discounts throughout the two-day event.

  1. Amazon is not the only place you can shop for – Amazon also offers price match and price check

Prime Day isn’t just limited to Amazon. These days, we see more retailers offering competitive discounts. This often drives prices down even more. You should check to see if other shops offer Prime Day deals. Some shops may offer price match guarantee and additional shopping options.
