5 Top Countdown Apps for Interval Training and Workouts

Popular Posts

Don’t focus on the numbers in your head. Use these apps to keep you focused on what you are doing.

While the best workout apps might help you get started with your workout, it may not always be what you are looking for.

1. Seconds. Multiple Interval Timers (Android iPhone Web, Web) to Train and Exercise

Seconds allow you to track intervals and help you do exercises.

You have the ability to personalize your workout by adding new exercises, changing the color of each exercise, and setting custom timers. This makes it easy to share with others.

This site allows you to name your exercises, set rest intervals, and warm-up/cool-down times.

Seconds Pro can also be downloaded in a free version. You have the option to upgrade to Seconds Pro to access the same or similar workout plans again.

2. Customizable Voice Alarms for Android and iOS to Countdowns or Workouts

The exercise timer works the same as voice alerts. Fullscreen mode can be enabled and the preparation time can be adjusted.

The Exercise Timer’s Catalog is a good place for you to start when adding a new exercise to your day.

Once everything is set up you can start your workout immediately. The sets will be displayed in a list view mode.

Exercise Timer’s free version includes many of these features. It’s a great tool for tracking your workouts.

3. Hourglass Timer (Android): Free Sand Clock App

Use a sand clock/hourglass for interval training. Flip it around to start the next set.

Time Rise is a great sand clock app that allows you to create a digital version of the hourglass.

You also have the option to set up a notification sound to alert you when your clock strikes midnight.

Many hourglass apps are available for Android. Hourglass 2 on Android is the closest to Time Rise, but iPhone does not have a great alternative. It doesn’t have important features like a notification sound and auto-resume after it flips.

4. Timerdoro is a mobile-friendly web timer that can set up a series of alarms

Timoro is named after the pomodoro productivity technique. This web app can be adapted to your personal productivity and workout methods.

Give the new-timer a title. Next, give the new timer an opening headline. There are many types of alarms and bells.

Add as many timers as you wish.

Notification names and notifications can’t all be personalized. This will remind you of the next exercise.

5. SpeakTimer Android & SpeakTimer iOS: Speaking Smartwatch & Countdown app

Speaking Timer allows you to incorporate running and cardio into a workout. You should be focusing on the voice prompts and vibrations.

Both of these aspects can be used in a variety of ways. To accomplish this, you can use several timers.

The stopwatch will keep your screen on while you run. It will also display the intervals that you have chosen. You can tap the Lap button to indicate when you are done with a lap. It then calculates how much time it took. You can’t add laps with a voice command. This will save you the hassle of carrying your phone around while you run.

iOS users don’t need additional apps. The iPhone’s default stopwatch is great and you don’t have to download any additional apps. SpeakTimer, on the other hand, is a great option for an audio-timer. It allows you to add custom messages.

You should focus on the exercise and not the numbers

The countdown timers/countdown apps are very simple. You will have a better workout if you’re not distracted by the number of seconds that have passed.
